Quality and Welding Inspections for Water Corporations Karratha PLAT Tank re-roof Project
We were happy to be involved in the Karratha PLAT tank re-roof after a cyclone destroyed the existing roof and structure. We were contracted as the QAR (Quality Assurance Representative), in which we were responsible for Quality Documentation, Welding Documentation, Welding Traceability, Welding Supervision and Inspection. While on the project we also became involved in the Engineering Design, Welding Procedures and Welder Qualifications.
The project involved:
- 238.9 tonnes of welded steelwork
- 2352 welded items
- 5442 metres of weld
